Welcome to the Folding Scooter Store! We specialize in matching mobility solutions to specific mobility needs – and we do so in person. We’re personalizing the process of purchasing a mobility scooter because we know that limited mobility comes in many forms and calls for a range of solutions – each suited to the specific needs of every customer we meet. We also know that the right mobility solution can be life-changing, while a product that doesn’t meet your needs accurately can become more of a burden than a necessity.
Over the years, and through our various personal experiences with limited mobility, we’ve learned that the decision to purchase a mobility scooter can be emotional. Getting to know the options in the privacy of one’s own home can be the comforting factor in helping you or your loved ones to move forward in regaining your mobility. That’s why we’ve focused our efforts on developing a process that matches mobility solutions to your mobility challenges.

Our offering is diverse and features a number of internationally acclaimed wheelchair and scooter providers, but only solutions we are familiar with first-hand and feel we can stand behind.
Who We Are
We are a company founded on first-hand experience and relentless commitment
The Folding Scooter Store was established by Stefan Cohrs and Norman Stein, who originally got together to build a company called No Boundaries Mobility. Both engineers by trade, Stefan and Norman took on the personal challenge of designing and building a mobility and exercise machine for people with impaired mobility. The project was successful, and No Boundaries Mobility helped to pioneer this industry. No Boundaries Mobility became a household name for people with disabilities across the country. Each of the founders have personal experience with various disabilities, including Stefan’s wife who was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Robert Spellman, who has always been highly active in helping the disabled community, joined the company to help provide new angles and strategies for growth.
In 2020, the founders decided to start another company together and the vision was clear: to empower disabled persons with solutions that are suited to their challenges – and their dreams. The company is called The Folding Scooter Store and we are so glad you found us!
The Folding Scooter Store is now run by a management team that is unmatched in its knowledge and commitment to helping people with disabilities to find solutions to their everyday challenges. We are constantly on the search for innovations and designs that consider the real needs of real people and help give them the quality of life we know they deserve.
